Avitable Made Me Do It...
Adam did a meme on his blog that was one of the better ones I've seen because instead of the usual call-and-response the reader is asked his or her opinions on the person whose blog they are visiting. Their chance to give him the gas! Well... I at first thought to put it up and then I wondered if it fit and whether or not the steam was gone out of it. Some of Avitable's readers stop here once in a while and they already did one of these. So I had it up, then I took it down. Then this...
What happened to the meme? It showed up in Bloglines, but it's not here. I wanted to fill it out, too!
I was going back and forth on it. Not sure it fits. Killed it this morning. I dunno...

You see, I'm going to give you a meaningful response even after I posted my generic response on my blog (which was pretty damned awesome, if I do say so myself).

Since I don't know your real name, I can only guess that your initials are RW, so my nickname for you is BobbyBobRobertoRob.
2. Am I lovable?
That picture you posted reminds me of Edward James Olmos as he currently appears on Battlestar Galactica. He's not exactly lovable, but he has a certain comfortability about him. I'm guessing you're like that.
3. How long have you known me?
Unlike you, I consider emailing and commenting with someone to be akin to knowing them. I think you get to know someone better sometimes than if you work with them or see them occasionally for poker night. I've known you since you began posting at IT2M.
4. When and how did you first find my blog?
Well, your comments were usually rather dry and pithy, but then you'd fuck up and misspell something, and your definitions of those words got me interested in your blog. I traveled to it, read the awesome "Why Chasing Vincenzo's" post and was hooked.
5. What was your first impression?
This guy is the type of person who would probably hate me in real life. He's proper, a gentleman, impeccably dressed, and overall cultured and refined.
6. Do you still think that way about my blog now?
Yes, but I think you'd be able to tolerate our huge, glaring differences in person. At least long enough to enjoy a steak and talk about shoes and ships and sealing wax.
7. If I was an ice cream flavor, which would I be and why?
Butter pecan.
8. What makes me happy?
A good cigar, a good glass of wine, a good meal, a good day with your stocks, and a good evening with your family.
9. What makes me sad?
The inevitability of social decline among young adults and older adults today.
10. What song (if any) reminds you of me?
Something old and scratchy, like a 45 of Ella Fitzgerald or Nat King Cole.
11. If you could give me anything what would it be?
A time machine to go back to the '20s.

Yes, I do. A friend that I have yet to meet in person, but a friend nonetheless.

Every time that you post something, I'm there. And then I come back to see if you've replied to any comments, or if anyone else has anything good to say about your posts.

Nope. I'm an open book.

Ah, if only I were a gay man who liked snazzy dressers and impeccably kept men.

Sure. I don't waste my time with trivial shit, either, so I think we'd have a great conversation.
